OpenAI CEO Sam Altman tweeted on the X platform today, hinting that the next-generation reasoning AI model GPT-o3 will be released. Altman wrote in the tweet, "hohoho, see you tomorrow", "found a clue, should say oh oh oh", three repeated "o" and "h", suggesting that OpenAI may release the o3 model tomorrow.
OpenAI is currently developing a new generation of reasoning models and will think more deeply about user questions. In terms of naming, it may skip the "o2" name and use "o3" directly in order to avoid trademark conflicts with British telecom operator O2. "12 Days of OpenAI" will enter its last day tomorrow. In the previous 11 days, OpenAI released a full-blooded version of the o1 model and launched related APIs. In addition, it also upgraded function calls, structured output, reasoning effort control, developer messages, and visual input. (Jinshi)
