BNBChain releases 2024 annual report

BNBChain released its 2024 annual report today, including the latest progress and data on ecology, technology, etc. In 2024, BNB chain will continue to promote the "One BNB" multi-chain development strategy, namely BSC+ opBNB+ Greenfield. opBNB achieved breakthrough scalability of 4,600 TPS per second and 100 million Gas Limit per second, and introduced parallel EVM; storage chain Greenfield launched important updates such as Hulunbeier, Ural and Pawnee, and launched Greendrive, currently supporting more than 30 public data Integrated and improved user interface. In terms of ecology, the average daily active users of opBNB reached 4.7 million, BSC reached 1.12 million, and the number of BSC independent addresses increased by 17.7% compared with last year to 486 million. The total locked volume (TVL) increased by 58.2% from the previous year to US$5.5 billion, and opBNB’s TVL increased by 27.6% to US$19.2 million. In terms of transaction volume, BSC has an average daily transaction volume of 4 million, an increase of 2.5%; opBNB has an average daily transaction volume of 7.1 million, with fees as low as $0.001. Security has been significantly improved. The number of security incidents that occurred on BNBChain decreased by 66% compared with last year, and the amount of risk losses decreased by 67% (from US$162 million to US$53 million). Other 2024 eco-highlights include: • Launched “Gas-Free Carnival” in September to promote the application of stablecoins, and currently BNBChain ranks third among the stablecoin market capitalization public chains. •Invest US$1 million to support various Memecoin innovations in the community and projects, including airdrops, LP support, competitions and other activities. • MVB Season 9 launches this month, focusing on AI First areas. In Season 7, 13 projects were selected from more than 700 applications, of which 5 projects received investment from Binance Labs. Season 8 selected 35 projects from more than 500 applications, with projects receiving up to $250,000 worth of support in LaaS tools and services. • BIA (BNB Incubation Alliance) held 5 global events this year, and 12 winners were supported by the Kickstart program. • Several hackathons will be held in 2024, with prizes totaling more than $2 million distributed.
