BGB will become the core of Bitget Wallet multi-chain Gas payment

Bitget Wallet announced that BGB will become the core token for wallet gas fee payment as early as January 2025. Through the GetGas function, users can use BGB, USDT or USDC to pay for gas fees on multiple main networks such as Ethereum, Solana, Base, Polygon, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism, Tron and TON, improving convenience and realizing chain abstraction. BGB will also support staking and more DeFi integration functions to further enhance the ecological value. Bitget Wallet supports more than 100 public chains and tens of thousands of DApps, integrating asset management, market conditions, cross-chain transactions and NFTs to create the next generation of Web3 super applications. After the merger of BWB and BGB, BGB will become a unified ecological token, continuously expanding its utility in CeFi and DeFi scenarios, and holders can enjoy multiple rights and interests of wallets and exchanges. Previously, BWB held by users will be automatically converted to BGB at a ratio of 1:0.08563 to ensure a seamless transition.
