The strong rise in U.S. technology stocks played a key role in the growth of the three people’s wealth, which also greatly increased the wealth of Larry Ellison, Jeff Bezos, Michael Dell and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. The wealth of these eight tech giants alone has increased by more than $600 billion this year, accounting for 43% of the $1.5 trillion increase in the 500 richest people tracked by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
