The average blob size on Celestia has increased by about 10 times in the past two weeks

Between June 20 and December 20, 2024, the average blob size on Celestia was approximately 1.18 GB. However, in the past two weeks, this number has almost doubled tenfold, reaching an average of 11.4 GB. This is likely due to the NFT minting that occurred during this period, as well as more projects choosing to use Celestia as a data availability layer. Similarly, the number of daily transactions on Celestia has increased significantly during this period.
