Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) are pushing for 24/7 trading services, applying to open five or even seven days a week to meet the needs of global investors. Giang Bui, head of US stock and ETF trading at Nasdaq, said today at the New York Digital Asset Summit: "The market is moving in this direction. Global investors have high demand for US stocks and they want to trade during their own waking hours. This is largely because they are accustomed to the 24/7 trading model of cryptocurrencies." Currently, Nasdaq has begun communicating with regulators, and the New York Stock Exchange has been approved to extend trading hours.
