Majority of Americans Concerned About Economic Impact of Tariff Policies

The survey, conducted from April 17 to 21, highlights concerns over U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff policies, which many fear could lead to rising prices and potential economic recession. The poll indicates that 47% of Americans believe prices will "rise significantly," while 30% expect prices to "rise somewhat" due to the government's tariff policies. Nearly 90% of respondents expressed concern about the increase in grocery prices in the coming months. Regarding the possibility of an economic recession triggered by tariff policies, 53% of those surveyed are "extremely or very worried," 27% are "somewhat worried," and only 20% are "not very worried or not worried at all." Furthermore, nearly 60% of Americans feel that the government's approach to tariffs is "overdone."
