As you are reading this article, Ethereum has successfully completed the most grand upgrade in its history. As a decentralized open source public chain with smart contract functions, Ethereum has gained many supporters thanks to the vigorous development of the DeFi protocol and NFT in the past two years. After many months of hard work and contributions from the Ethereum development team, the merger is finally complete. To celebrate this important milestone, many well-known blockchain companies and artists have launched commemorative NFTs, most of which are free. Perhaps these NFTs do not have resale value, but when we look back 5 or even 10 years from now, they serve as proof that we have witnessed history. After some careful selection, the author has prepared 4 NFT collection series for everyone. Since some NFTs have a certain limit or time limit, if you are interested, be sure to cast a copy before the end!
1. Proof of Stake - https://proofofstake.gitcoin.co/pledge
You can donate any amount of ETH to get the digitally signed NFT and books of Ethereum founder "V God". This is a non-transferable NFT, and when V God's book is published, you can get a free digital copy with this NFT.
Of the donations raised, 90% of the funds will be allocated to the Gitcoin Grants matching pool, and the remainder will be allocated to publishing partner Seven Stories Press to support the independent publication of nonprofit products. For all books sold, Vitalik will donate all proceeds to Gitcoin Grants.
2. Proof of Merge - https://www.proofofmerge.xyz/
The encryption team under the well-known venture capital firm a16z has created a non-transferable dynamic NFT. This NFT can generate different metadata and patterns based on the value of the "difficulty" opcode and the estimated merge time.
Drawn by x0r, the NFT uses an art style called ASCII—a visual rendering of a computer language used to encode alphanumeric characters.
You can mint before the end of the merger, and the minting will be closed after the time has passed.
3. Regenesis - https://merge.consensys-nft.com/
To commemorate this historic moment in Ethereum, ConsenSys, a well-known Ethereum software company, invited the world to participate in the issuance of the first batch of sustainable NFTs on the Ethereum mainnet.
The NFT series is called Regenesis, and there are different versions, one of which is this open version, which will focus on the main feature of the merger: "sustainability". Minting has started and the window closes 72 hours after the merge.
4. Ethereum Merge Fractal - https://ethereum-merge-fractals.surge.sh/
To celebrate the ethereum merger, software developer David Ryan has created a digitally generated NFT art collection entirely on-chain. The animated SVG image of the NFT is completely generated within the smart contract without using external data sources such as IPFS.
All proceeds from NFT sales will be used to support the protocol guild for Ethereum core development with a 0% resale fee. The NFT casting price starts from 0.001 ETH, and every 50 castings will increase by 0.0002 ETH, and the financing amount can reach 75 ETH.
At the time of writing, 2,967 of the 5,875 unique pieces in the collection have been cast. In other words, at least 0.0128 ETH and gas fees are currently required to cast this commemorative NFT.
Everyone is welcome to bookmark this page. If there are more related commemorative NFT releases in the near future, the author will update them regularly.
