Ladies and gentlemen, I am very excited to have the opportunity to share with you today. The first anniversary of IPFS and Filecoin has been an extraordinary year for us, and the first anniversary of our mainnet launch. Last week, the whole week of activities, we continued to stage around the world, there were various seminars and dialogues, everyone discussed in the dialogues, and many new developments in the IPFS network since last year have also been uploaded to Youtub up. Let me introduce the development of IPFS in the past year. Web3 represents the next generation of the Internet. Computing will soon change all types of dance. The current computing infrastructure provides support for tens of billions of devices and billions of people around the world. We now use a variety of software. Web3.0 has undergone many changes around the world. Let me share IPFS and Filecoin here. We have realized the P2P of the Internet, that is, peer-to-peer. Now on a global scale, we have hundreds of millions of various websites, as well as various development applications. Filecoin is a decentralized storage network that mainly stores people's information. This network provides support to our network through a series of miners, that is, providers of storage capacity. Filecoin is the proof-of-storage chain of Web3.0, and it is also the largest storage network in the storage track. It has reached the level of the centralized cloud storage platform, and it is also the storage bottom layer of each Web3.0. These systems have stored data in Filecoin is gone.
Everyone has seen that Filecoin has achieved various growths, and our data has reached 12 EiB bytes, which is a very large total storage. There are 3362 nodes worldwide, there are many applications and development teams, and a large number of people participate in Filecoin. This is a very simple system, and it also stores a large number of NFTs around the world. This is our new project this year. It is Filecoin Green. It measures the energy used in the Filecoin ecosystem and purchases credits for renewable energy. At the same time, we need to break the bottleneck of consensus. For example, some consensus in the blockchain does have a huge bottleneck, and this bottleneck needs to be broken through. We use a so-called fragmented network to overcome bottlenecks. We have a hierarchical consensus and have launched various expansion solutions on IPFS, and we are also developing similar solutions in Filecoin. And this year, it has also received a lot of discussion, so we really hope to be able to achieve Internet-level workloads and trillions of processing per second. This is our ambitious goal, and the F project is also Moving forward on the right path, we look forward to making it a reality soon.
ConsensusLab, the Chinese name is Consensus Laboratory, it focuses on the consensus part of the blockchain, and has done research on the level of consensus, and thinks about how to achieve scalability. But how to further improve the performance of each shard? A key here is the execution across shards, which is the part where everyone in the entire blockchain field is committed to finding a solution. A few years after Web3.0, cross-chain execution is not a problem, but if it can appear now, it must be a great innovation, which can help us innovate many bottlenecks.
Another direction is to calculate based on Filecoin data, which is very important for any storage network. First of all, the storage network can store a large amount of data. Through such data, we can perform various functions, perform various calculations and useful work. This is not just a smart contract, which can issue various jobs and run based on various data. Our community should promote the project and architecture of Web2.0 expansion. In terms of scalability, it can keep pace with Web2.0 applications. We have seen a very interesting system, homomorphic encryption, which can also do calculations. Privacy computing is implemented in the public cloud, and in the future we will implement data-based computing. Here we need to do various smart contract programming, which is a very important focus. In addition, we are also thinking about continuous improvement and proof, and we also need a lot of innovation.
For example, our TPS makes it faster and more efficient, and can also achieve a wider range of randomness, calculated through verifiable calculations, and can be calculated on any network, and utilizes Filecoin data. There have been a lot of exciting achievements in Filecoin in the past few months, and we also discuss programmable contracts. Now the community is very concerned about the line that is currently added to FVM. It is compatible with WASM and mainly has a better model for cross-chain computing. In terms of Filecoin, there are many things related to the Ethereum virtual machine. There are many interesting projects in Ethereum and other networks, and we will continue to apply them. For example, the efforts made by IPFS are remarkable.
Finally, I would like to share with you how to build the Metaverse on Filecoin. For decades, we have been constantly working on the metaverse, constantly adding up a little bit to make more, and constantly improving games and various experiences. Now through the emergence of 3D environments, games and open worlds, it continues to mature. In addition to the native applications of blockchain and Web3.0, we have also introduced them into the Metaverse. The world we live in now is exciting. Many large-scale enterprises have emerged in the metaverse, and they have also begun to invest heavily in the metaverse. Many large companies hope to obtain a very relevant version of the metaverse, and this is also very important. We can create an open Web3.0-driven metaverse, which is our idea of Filecoin, and we hope that everyone will join in and make it a reality.
I am especially proud to share with you that the Filecoin community is leading in many aspects of development. For example, like the development of NFT, NFT has a concept of property rights in the blockchain, so that everyone can have an attribution relationship with space or assets, and they hope to apply NFT with an open relationship. That is to say, NFT realizes interoperability with each other, not only in a closed architecture, but also in an open architecture. There are two projects here, along with other excellent ones.
