You may have seen the hype surrounding Farcaster. This decentralized social network has taken the crypto space by storm and has grown exponentially in the weeks since Frames was released.
Daily Farcaster Indicator Chart
Frame is a Farcastive Native functionality, anyone can create an application in cast (as posts on the Farcaster network are called).
Frame brings a variety of interesting features, experiences, experiments and even games.
We're WASD, so today we'll explore the latter use case and learn about the exploding in-flight gaming ecosystem on Farcaster.
Is a new type of on-chain games emerging before our eyes?
Frame Will the game survive?
Let’s take a closer look!
Farcaster and Frame 101
In our Before looking at some onframe games, let's get a better understanding of Farcaster and Frames themselves.
Farcaster is a (sufficiently) decentralized social network built using an on-chain + off-chain architecture that enables users to create accounts, post content called "casts" ” short posts and form a community.
Unlike Web2 platforms, Farcaster’s social graph is decentralized and client-agnostic.
This means that anyone can build a frontend that interacts with the protocol, giving users true ownership of their accounts and The ability to migrate their followers between applications.
There are many clients based on Farcaster today, the most popular of which are Warpcast and Supercast.
A glimpse into the Farcaster ecosystem
A significant driver of Farcaster’s recent growth is The introduction of Frames.
As mentioned earlier, Frame is a standard that enables developers to build applications that run within a cast.
Frame 's TLDR
You can think of them as what people sometimes do when Twitter posts are embedded in Mirror.xyz.
Although simple on the surface, you can do many different things in Frame, such as minting NFTs, creating generative art, conducting polls, and registering different Services, and of course playing games.
You can also set up pre-activities, such as requiring users to complete Recasting, like or follow operations before they can access Frame.
Although they have only been online for ten days, dozens of different Frames have been released, and more are being released every day.

Frame Game
Now that we know a little more about Farcaster and Frames, let's look at some of the onframe games we've built so far.
Perl (https://warpcast.com/perl)
Perl Round
Perl is a prediction game developed by Alex Kwon.
In the game, your goal is to predict whether a caster's engagement for a given KPI will exceed a certain level.
Let’s unpack this a little bit.
Each round of the game starts with a daily cast in a Perl channel, which is presented as a Frame containing actors, numbers and KPIs (likes, replays, etc.).
After viewing the frame, players must predict whether the caster's performance on the KPI will exceed the number shown in the Frame.
If you choose correctly, you will have a chance to win the in-game token $PERL.
I think Perl is a cool game that embodies the unique attributes of Farcaster.
I also like Perl's game leaderboards because it helps raise the stakes and add excitement to the round.
I'm certainly not the only one who feels this way, as the Perl account has over 23,000 followers!
Nethria(https://warpcast.com/deployer/0xcbc5ffc5) strong>
Nethria's Frame
Nethria is a software developed by Deployer A text-based adventure game developed by .
The project was inspired by Zork, a similar game for the PDP-10 released in 1977.
In Nethria, you fight and defeat an eponymous AI that has become popular and is in the midst of a memecoin and NFT theft craze.
To get started, all you have to do is read Frame and click "Start".
After doing so, you will be faced with the choice of "attack" or "dodge", and you must constantly make choices to best utilize the artificial intelligence.
(Like most people, I chose to attack first before realizing that Nethria's health points were much higher than mine.)
< p style="text-align: left;">Nethria is a very simple game that only takes a few minutes to play.
Despite this, I still had a lot of fun.
Encounters have a lot of tension and still involve some strategic depth, as you have to use items in your inventory and vary your movements to succeed and win.
Base Quest (https://warpcast.com/df/0x7d24da9a)
< span style="font-size: 14px;">Ongoing Base Quest Round
Base Quest is another text-based adventure game.
In the game, you will explore, engage in combat, and make a series of choices that determine your fate.
First, you need to choose from four different categories to create your character.
When I played, I chose to be a mage that didn't require any magical power.
Once you complete this, you will be able to proceed to a choose-your-own-adventure style quest, where you can do things like brew potions, explore castles, or Fight with dragons.
Base Quest is my favorite game I have ever played because of its story that keeps you immersed in it for a long time.
This is the only Frame game to date with a true, complete narrative that will keep you playing for minutes.
Plus, the game will feel fresh every time you play because you can choose a new character and go on different adventures.
While Base Quest and all Frame games are great because they are easy to pick up, I do wish there was some way to save game progress because if you Leave the page and you lose it.
Other Onframe games worth paying attention to
There are many more Other interesting Frame games are in development.
Some that caught my attention are:
Akinator, the reappearance of the robot of the same name (my name was inspired by him!)
Pokemon, is a remake of the classic role-playing game.
Doom, a remake of OG FPS.
1337, a Farcaster native game, you can try to log in to the number 1337.
Optimistic about Onframe games
Onframe gaming is booming.
Although Frames itself has been out for less than two weeks, there are already a number of games built using the feature, with more in development.
I feel like Frames compared to the Telegram app
Most games these days are simple, but games like Perl, Nethria, and Base Quest are still going strong.
While it’s still early days, Frame has the potential to become an exciting new medium for building, playing and distributing shared social graphs using Farcaster game.
Onframe games are an exciting addition to the on-chain gaming portfolio, and I think they are here to stay.
I'm excited to continue exploring this new ecosystem and see how it evolves from here!
