据日媒《NHK》引述消息人士报导，日本交易所BitFlyer 正以价值数十亿日元的预算，计划收购FTX Japan 的全部股份，并将FTX Japan 重新打造为一家面向机构投资者的数位资产管理或托管公司。
自 2022 年 11 月倒闭以来，FTX 的重组团队一直在通过出售 FTX Japan、FTX Europe、LedgerX 和 Embed 等子公司来筹集资金偿还债权人。FTX Japan 在破产后暂停了服务，但由于资产隔离，已经偿还了用户资产。
收购消息传出后，FTX 的代币 FTT 在一小时内短暂上涨 1.1%，随后回落，目前交易价为 1.52 美元。尽管 BitFlyer 可能会更名并不支持 FTT，但该代币的价格走势仍然难以预测。

然而他的回应都在转移对 2022 年 11 月加密货币交易所崩溃的责任，将其归因于“错误的决定”而不是自私的动机。
他向 ABC 发表的声明呼应了宣判前表达的观点，强调 FTX 本来可以渡过难关并偿还客户。
