Comparison with Trump's Fundraising
While former President Donald Trump has also demonstrated strong fundraising capabilities, Harris' campaign has outpaced his efforts. Trump's campaign reported raising $138.7 million in July, significantly less than what Harris' campaign collected in its first week. Trump’s campaign began August with $327 million in cash on hand.
Key Support Demographics
The Harris campaign has highlighted the importance of first-time contributors, with nearly a third of convention week donations coming from this group. Notably, a significant portion of these new contributors were young voters and women, demographics that are crucial for Harris' success in the upcoming election.
