19-Year-Old Teen Attacked Over Crypto Profits, Three Juvenile Suspects Arrested by Hong Kong Police
A 19-year-old, whose identity remains undisclosed, found himself in distress after an alleged assault stemming from profits gained through crypto trading. According to reports, three teenagers were apprehended by Hong Kong authorities following an altercation in a hotel room during the early hours of the day.
The incident unfolded during a meeting organized by a group of teenagers aged between 16 and 19 at the Harbour Grand Kowloon Hotel. It is purported that the victim was detained and physically attacked by nine individuals present in the room. The attackers allegedly demanded approximately $23,000 in crypto profits from the victim.
After coercing the victim, two members of the group resorted to physical violence, using baseball bats to attack the 19-year-old. Subsequently, a friend of the victim alerted the authorities, prompting police intervention.

Upon learning of the police's involvement, most of the suspects fled the scene. Nevertheless, law enforcement managed to apprehend one assailant within the hotel room and two others outside the premises.
Sources indicate that the room where the incident occurred had been utilized previously for crypto trading activities. The case is currently under investigation by detectives from the Kowloon City anti-triad unit.
As of now, authorities continue their search for the remaining six teenagers involved, consisting of four males and two females.
