Animoca Brands announces MOCA token airdrop

Animoca Brands, a well-known blockchain game developer, has announced the airdrop details of its official PFP NFT series Mocaverse, which will be launched in December 2022. The announcement on the 22nd of last month showed that 10% of the total MOCA tokens will be allocated to circulating Moca NFTs and 21.5% will be allocated to Moca ID holders, pushing the floor price of Moca NFTs to more than 4 ETH.

Yesterday, the official announcement that the airdrop will start at 4 am (UTC) on July 11. The MOCA token distribution inspection website is now online, and both Moca NFT and Moca ID holders are eligible to receive tokens.

On March 7, 2023, Moca NFT provided whitelisted users with the opportunity to mint for free and purchase at 0.138 ETH. After more than a year of waiting, the official announced the details of the $MOCA airdrop on the 22nd, and decided to allocate 10% of the total amount to the circulating Moca NFT. This news greatly motivated the price of Moca NFT.

According to Coingecko data, the floor price of Moca NFT fell 2.7% in the past 24 hours and is currently reported at 3.3 ETH. Its market value is 29,300 ETH, making it the second most traded NFT on the Blur platform.

Moca NFT holders get 10% of the total supply

Moca NFT holders will receive 10% of the total supply, one-third of which will be released on TGE, another one-third will be released weekly for 12 months starting three months after TGE, and the last one-third will be reserved for future incentives. The current airdrop website checks the first two batches of token allocations.

For the initial token unlocking of TGE, Moca NFT holders must register before TGE to decide "immediately claim" or "extra claim", and the default is "immediately claim". Details of the additional claim are as follows:

• 40% more tokens than immediate claim

• 35% of the total allocation available on the TGE

• The remaining 65% can be claimed three months after the TGE

• Eligible for staking rights during the three-month cliff period

• Golden lottery for each NFT, providing additional MOCA token rewards

There is a 30-day period to claim the airdrop.

Officials said that snapshots are not required because Moca NFTs must be held continuously to claim airdrops, including the second batch. However, XP reward distribution snapshots have been taken.

Moca ID holders

The airdrop for Moca ID holders will be carried out in two rounds. The first round requires a threshold of 1,500 RP, and the number of airdrops is based on RP level.

• Holders must register before the TGE to claim the airdrop at the TGE. Missing this registration means that you must register before 12 noon Taiwan time on July 29 to receive the first round of MOCA tokens, otherwise you will be disqualified.

• The MOCA allocation received will be automatically staked, and unstaking will result in loss of eligibility for the second round of MOCA airdrops.

• Animoca Brands will release more RP earning tasks between TGE and the second round of airdrops.

Officials said that more RP earning tasks will be released after TGE and before the second round of airdrops.
