President Joe Biden's re-election campaign is looking for a Meme expert, apparently to win the support of Generation Z voters.
The Biden presidential campaign has posted a position for a "partnership manager," where a successful applicant will be responsible for launching and managing "the daily operations of participating in popular Internet content and Meme pages."
According to Indeed, the Biden team will pay the Meme manager in Wilmington, Delaware between $65,000 and $85,000 per year, slightly higher than the average salary for digital marketers in the United States.
The primary task for the Meme position candidate needed by Biden's team will be to manage relationships with digital media companies, podcasts and "Meme pages across multiple social media platforms," according to the job description.
Biden's team has dabbled in memes before, with his campaign adopting the "Dark Brandon" laser-eye meme in early 2022 in an attempt to portray the 81-year-old as internet-savvy.

In February, Biden was asked about the "Dark Brandon meme" by Seth Meyers on his late-night show. He responded, "I'm totally disgusted by it," before donning a pair of dark aviator sunglasses.
At the White House Correspondents' Dinner in April, Biden donned the sunglasses again and mentioned the character to cheers from the audience.
The move appears to be the latest effort by the oldest president in U.S. history to win over a younger generation of voters.
Many Democrats also appear to have changed their stance on cryptocurrencies after presidential candidate Donald Trump endorsed them in an apparent effort to win votes.
On the other side of the political line, Trump is no stranger to memes. His August 2023 photo went viral after he was indicted for his fourth time at the Fulton County Jail.

His campaign immediately jumped on the opportunity and began selling T-shirts, mugs and merchandise featuring the image, launching its “MugShot” line of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in December.
In early May, the Trump-themed MAGA memecoin rallied after Trump made pro-cryptocurrency comments.
