The thieves committed crimes within a day after the user spoke out.
The thief has not yet transferred the property, and the stolen proceeds are still at his address.
Currently, the address holds 460,000 USDT, 1,633 TRX, and the total amount of assets has reached 3.36 million yuan.
According to the investigation and analysis of Beosin, an on-chain security company, the reason for this type of theft is the leakage of mnemonic words/private keys.
At the same time, the address of the thief's exchange was found.
Previously, on August 19, 2021, a large number of TP wallet users had their NFTs transferred away from their wallets without leaking their mnemonic words, keys, or passwords.
This case involves a large number of people, and the total losses of related users are as high as nearly 200 million US dollars, equivalent to nearly 1.3 billion RMB!
