According to PANews, mobile NFT shooting game studio Carbonated has announced the completion of an $11 million funding round for its game, MadWorld. The round was led by South Korean gaming giant Com2uS, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Bitkraft Ventures, Cypher Capital, Blocore, Goal Ventures, and WAGMI Ventures. Carbonated had previously raised $8.5 million in 2020, with a16z and Bitkraft also participating in that investment.
MadWorld is set to be released to the public sometime in 2024 and is currently being tested on iOS and Android operating systems. Carbonated's founder, Travis Boatman, is a veteran in the mobile gaming industry, having held executive positions at Zynga and Electronic Arts.
