Ethereum Developers Propose 'Pump The Gas' Initiative To Increase Gas Fee Limit

According to Foresight News, Ethereum core developer Eric Connor and former MakerDAO smart contract lead Mariano Conti have initiated a 'pump the gas' campaign, aiming to raise the Ethereum gas fee limit from 30 million to 40 million. This increase would reduce Layer1 transaction costs by 15% to 33%. Previously, in January, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin suggested raising the gas fee limit from 30 million, which has been in place since August 2021, to 40 million.
