According to Odaily, Arbitrum developers have announced the completion of the ArbOS 32 upgrade on Arbitrum One, Nova, and Sepolia networks. Users operating nodes on these networks are advised to upgrade their nodes to at least Arbitrum Nitro v3.2.0. Validator nodes should be upgraded to v3.2.1. This upgrade was coordinated with the Security Council, which approved an emergency action to address several issues.
The upgrade resolves three main problems: incorrect pricing in Arbitrum Stylus that could lead to denial-of-service attacks, a vulnerability allowing malicious contracts to crash nodes, and overcharging of Stylus contracts due to SLOAD operation mispricing. The developers assured that no funds were at risk during these issues. Additionally, the team plans to release a comprehensive analysis report soon.
