Babylon to Launch Second Phase Testnet in January

According to Foresight News, the Bitcoin staking protocol Babylon has announced the launch of its second phase testnet on January 8. The block production for this phase will commence at 17:00 UTC+8, with the staking web application going live at 18:00 UTC+8 on the same day. Participants from the first phase testnet will have the opportunity to register their stakes on the Babylon chain for the second phase. The second phase will introduce a test version of the Babylon proof-of-stake chain, which will be jointly secured by Babylon and Signet Bitcoin stakes. This includes both the Signet stakes from the first phase testnet and newly created Signet stakes. Babylon clarified that the testnet will only involve simulated test tokens, specifically signet Bitcoin and test Babylon tokens, and will not offer any incentives.
