China's new e-CNY Research Institute was launched during the "2024 Second e-CNY Industry Sustainable Development Seminar" in Suzhou, focusing on the sustainable advancement of the digital yuan. The seminar, which saw the participation of leading industry figures, marked a significant step in China's digital finance landscape.

Think Tank for Pragmatic Innovation

Positioned as a think tank, the e-CNY Research Institute aims to guide the digital yuan's development through market-driven strategies and conservative innovation. This approach underscores a commitment to harnessing expertise in navigating the complexities of digital currency evolution.

The launch event featured key moments, including the formal appointment of Wu Wenjun as the Secretary-General and the recognition of initial expert members. Following its establishment, the institute is set to convene on April 19 to define its strategic objectives and methodologies, aiming to enhance collaboration across the digital yuan ecosystem.
