Saga, a gaming-centric network, has initiated its airdrop claim process on Wednesday, following three months of play-to-airdrop competitions. Players who emerged victorious from these events, along with crypto users who have staked tokens on various blockchain networks, can now claim SAGA tokens.
Saga Airdrop: Over 200,000 Eligible Wallets Across Multiple Chains, Claims Open Until March 27
With over 200,000 unique wallets eligible across chains such as Avalanche, Solana, Cosmos, Celestia, and Ethereum scaler Polygon, the claims page is now accessible. Token claims will remain open until March 27, with a total of 60 million SAGA tokens available for distribution in the airdrop.
It's important to note that there are regional eligibility restrictions on the airdrop claims, with United States citizens and residents excluded from participation.
Saga's Play-to-Airdrop Competitions and Staking Rewards Program: Bridging Gaming and Blockchain Communities
Saga's play-to-airdrop competitions featured games developed on the network's testnet, as well as prominent games on other chains, including card-battler Parallel and first-person shooter Shrapnel.
Additionally, Saga is extending airdrop allocations to users who staked the native cryptocurrencies of Avalanche, Polygon, Celestia, and Cosmos during specific periods in 2023. An eligibility guide has been released by Saga, detailing which users on these chains are eligible to claim SAGA tokens for their staking activities.
Saga's Expansion: Partnering with Avalanche and Polygon to Forge New Paths in Multi-Chain Gaming Infrastructure
Saga has previously announced partnerships with Avalanche and Polygon teams, leveraging the Saga network as complementary infrastructure for games and applications on various chains. Saga CEO and co-founder Rebecca Liao described the Saga network as a "chain to launch chains," utilizing a model of "chainlets" for tandem usage. While Saga's focus extends beyond gaming, Liao revealed that 80% of early developers on the testnet were engaged in game development.
