Musk has warned that if OpenAI is integrated at the operating system level, he will ban Apple devices

Billionaire Elon Musk has stated that if Apple integrates OpenAI's ChatGPT into its iPhone, iPad, and Mac operating systems, his company will ban the use of Apple devices.

Musk said in a June 10th post, "If Apple integrates OpenAI at the operating system level, Apple devices will be banned from use in my company. This is an unacceptable security breach."

Even visitors, Musk demands that they "store their Apple devices in a Faraday cage" upon entering Tesla, SpaceX, and his other companies.

During the Apple Global Developer Conference in 2024, the company introduced "Apple Intelligence," which includes new generative AI features. These features will be integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia later this year.

A key feature will allow Siri to forward user queries to ChatGPT when necessary.

Before sending any information to ChatGPT, user consent will be obtained. ChatGPT will be powered by the latest version of OpenAI, GPT-4o.

However, Musk criticized Apple's reliance on OpenAI, calling it "patently absurd," and hinted that Apple had failed its customers by outsourcing privacy and security concerns.

Musk stated, "Apple using the term 'protecting your privacy' while handing your data to third-party artificial intelligence that they don't understand and can't create themselves is simply 'not' protecting privacy!"

And he referred to it as "spyware."

Earlier, Scarlett Johansson had told OpenAI not to use her voice, but they still cloned and used it. Now, imagine what they could do with your phone data, even if you don't allow them to use it.
