OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is facing a lawsuit from his sister, Ann Altman, who alleged Sam Altman of sexually abusing.

According to the lawsuit filed in the U.S District Court in Eastern District of Missouri, Ann alleged the abuse started when she was three, and Sam was 12. The filing claims that the abusive activities took place

"several times per week," beginning with oral sex and later involving penetration.

The lawsuit claims that because of the sexual assault, Ann has suffered emotional distress, mental anguish and depression, which will continue to haunt her for the rest of her life.

This is not the first time Ann made such accusations. Back in 2021, she previously wrote on her social media X that she experienced sexual, physical, emotional verbal, and financial abuse from her biological brother, Sam Altman.

Through her post, she is also calling others to join her in her pursuit of legal justice, and to message her if they have any information. But this is the first time she has taken it out on court, and she is requesting a jury trial and damages in excess of $75,000.

Denying all allegations

But Sam, his mother, Connie, and his brother Jack and Max, have come forward to deny all the allegations. On a social media post on X, they explained how all the claims of assault are all untrue, and these allegations have deeply hurt the family.

The family has also stated that Ann Altman is facing mental health challenges and she has refused conventional treatment and lashes out at family members who are genuinely trying to help her.

They also wrote that over the years, they have tried in many ways to support Ann and help her find stability, following professional advice on how to be supportive without enabling harmful behaviours. But despite their best efforts to get her medical help and offering to buy her a home, Ann has continued to demand more money from her family.

This is not the only lawsuit the tech CEO is facing. In March, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk sued OpenAI and co-founders Altman and Greg Brockman, alleging breach of contract and fiduciary duty. Musk was initially one of the co-founders of OpenAI when the company was first founded as a open sourced, non-profit company in 2015.

Musk later left the board in 2018 and has since then criticized the company for abandoning its original mission.
