Dogecoin has seen a sharp increase to $0.1656, marking the highest price since December 2021. Tesla CEO Elon Musk's earlier hints have come to fruition as Dogecoin is officially listed as a payment method for Tesla.
A month ago, Musk hinted that Dogecoin would be accepted as an official payment method for his cars at some point in the future.
Now, according to the Frequently Asked Questions section of Tesla's official website, Musk has added Dogecoin as a payment method for certain Tesla products.
According to the Dogecoin support page on Tesla's website, customers need to look for the Dogecoin symbol next to the “Order” page of products eligible for Dogecoin payments. As reported by the Wayback Machine, this page was last updated on May 4.
Tesla products can only be purchased via a Dogecoin wallet, and "all eligible Tesla products will be priced precisely in Dogecoin, including any applicable taxes," as stated in the FAQ.
However, there are some terms associated with Dogecoin payments. These include not accepting payments from multiple wallets for a single order, orders once placed cannot be canceled, and returns are not applicable for goods purchased with Dogecoin.
"Tesla only accepts Dogecoin; Tesla cannot receive or detect any other digital assets, ensure you use Dogecoin for your purchase."

In March of this year, Musk promoted this meme coin to a crowd near Tesla's Gigafactory in Berlin, Germany. When asked when the electric car manufacturer would start accepting Dogecoin as a payment method for its cars, Musk replied that he believed the company "should implement this at some point."
