Argentina Innovates Cryptocurrency Framework To Protect Users

According to Odaily, Argentina is taking steps to enhance the protection of cryptocurrency users by innovating its cryptocurrency framework. The Argentine Securities Regulatory Authority (CNV) has recently announced a public consultation on a draft proposal aimed at regulating the operations of Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) in the country. This proposal introduces new compliance requirements for these entities. If Resolution No. 1025 is approved, cryptocurrency companies will be required to disclose agreements with third parties and customers. Additionally, the framework seeks to prevent money laundering and terrorism financing by establishing policies and cybersecurity standards. This initiative follows the introduction of VASP registration earlier this year.
