People familiar with the matter: SEC, CFTC and others are investigating former FTX engineering director

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York is investigating former FTX Engineering Director Nishad Singh, who could be indicted this month if he was involved in an alleged scheme to defraud investors and clients of FTX and Alameda Research, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. In addition, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are also investigating Nishad Singh. An attorney for Nishad Singh, the U.S. attorney's office for the Southern District of New York, the SEC and the CFTC all declined to comment.
