Gaming studio Voldex has announced a Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), with continued participation from Dune Ventures and Makers Fund, as well as new investors including POW Interactive and Mitch Garber’s Lalotte Ventures. Separately, Andrew Chen, general partner at a16z, joined Voldex’s board of directors. Voldex has not disclosed the financing amount. Voldex improves the quality of user-generated content platforms like Roblox and Minecraft by acquiring and improving existing games. Voldex stated that it will use the new financing to expand the team and continue to support existing games, and enable it to obtain impressive UGC games from outstanding game creators, and help release new features and updates through the development of new features and updates combined with IP Everyone's potential.
