According to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, Maya, a Philippine financial technology company, plans to raise US$150 million in financing, which may increase its valuation to about US$2 billion. The fundraising could be for an IPO that could take place in the next few years, people familiar with the matter said. Maya has attracted initial interest from potential investors, including existing backers as well as other financial institutions and funds looking to enter Southeast Asia, the people said. Maya was formerly Voyager Innovations, the digital arm of telecommunications company PLDT.
