Bankruptcy judge orders Deltec to repay about $53 million in Alameda loans

Delaware Bankruptcy Judge John Dorsey ruled that Alameda Research should be repaid a nearly $53 million loan. The 2021 loan to Deltec International Group was originally approved in 2021 by FTX's Ryan Salame. The judge hereby authorizes and directs Deltec to pay Alameda an amount equivalent to $52,859,644 plus interest of $10,538 per day. Deltec is a Cayman Islands company whose banking arm serves stablecoin company Tether.
