Odaily Planet Daily News The non-profit organization Human Rights Foundation (HRF) released 10 bounty challenges, each with a bounty of 2 BTC, and a total of 20 BTC bounties, aiming to make Bitcoin and Lightning Network easier to use, more private.
HRF states on its website that more bounties may be added in the future. The foundation will share all 10 Bitcoin Challenge submissions with “outside industry experts” to verify their accuracy and actionability.
Deadline for submissions is December 31, 2024. Any unclaimed prize money will be returned to the vaults of HRF’s Bitcoin Development Fund, a donation pool launched in 2020.
It is reported that the first challenge is to open source the Bitcoin UI toolkit on Penpot; the second challenge involves serverless deployment of the payjoin protocol; the third challenge is to create an end-to-end encrypted group chat Nostr client implementation.
HRF previously launched a Bitcoin bounty program in December 2021 with Lightning Network payment platform Strike. There are three challenges, each offering 3 BTC rewards, and the competition runs until December 31, 2022. (Blockworks)
