Odaily Planet Daily News Neha Narula, who has been the director of the Digital Currency Initiative at the MIT Media Lab since 2017, has joined the board of directors of Jack Dorsey's payment company Block.
Narula was previously a software engineer at Google, Block said in Thursday's 8-K filing. She also serves on the Innovation Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Block beat earnings estimates in May, with revenue rising in the first quarter, driven by its retail payments app Cash App. The company's shares have risen 17.2% since the beginning of the year. (The Block)
