Odaily Planet Daily News According to local media reports, on July 27, India’s Supreme Court condemned the federal government’s delay in introducing cryptocurrency regulations.
In its commentary, the Supreme Court noted that "unfortunately," the government has yet to issue any clear guidelines regarding cryptocurrencies. The court made this comment after observing an increase in criminal activity involving cryptocurrencies. The Supreme Court also mentioned whether the federal government plans to create any dedicated federal agencies to investigate cryptocurrency crimes.
It is reported that the court made the above opinion while hearing petitions related to cryptocurrency fraud cases in different states of India. The court asked the government to respond on its ability to establish mechanisms to investigate such cases. (Cointelegraph)
