Up to 20 outstanding teams will be selected in the preliminary stage to participate in the semi-finals of DEF CON 2024. Among them, up to 5 teams will each receive a prize of 2 million US dollars and advance to the finals of DEF CON 2025.
The AI Cyber Challenge has nearly 20 million US dollars in prize money, bringing together well-known AI companies such as Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI. The AI Cyber Challenge will ask participants to openly share the inner workings of their systems in order to leverage their solutions more broadly. Additionally, guidance for the challenge is provided by the Linux Foundation's Open Source Security Foundation.
The competition's organizer, the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), has pledged up to $1 million in financial support to seven interested small businesses, ensuring a diverse pool of participants. (Cointelegraph)
