Odaily Planet Daily News Alameda Research stated that it is calling more plaintiffs to join the company's lawsuit against Grayscale Investments (Grayscale Investments).
Alameda Research filed for bankruptcy last November. In March, Alameda Research filed a lawsuit against Grayscale, DCG and DCG CEO Barry Silbert. It claimed at the time that Grayscale’s fee structure and redemption bans on its bitcoin and ethereum trusts had reduced the value of Alameda’s holdings by 90%.
More than 45 parties, including individuals, foundations and family offices, have offered to participate as additional plaintiffs, Alameda said in a motion filed with the Delaware Chancery Court. Those individuals and entities were not named in the document.
But the motion adds that Alameda needs more time "to continue to call plaintiffs to participate with it." The court gave plaintiffs until Sept. 15 to respond to Grayscale's motion to dismiss.
A Grayscale spokesman said on Thursday the lawsuit was "completely without merit," but declined to comment further. (Blockworks)
