Court documents show that Judge Frederic Block of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York ruled that plaintiff Joseph Kent had no standing to sue, dismissing the lawsuit against the no-damage lottery program PoolTogether. Plaintiff Joseph Kent filed the class action lawsuit more than a year ago, alleging that PoolTogether operated an illegal lottery. Frederic Block pointed out that Kent actively participated in the agreement and "suffered no specific harm at the defendant's place." According to Frederic Block, "Kent is free to pursue his claim in state court, and the plaintiff in federal court must prove that he suffered specific injuries."
