Odaily Planet Daily News According to a press statement on September 7, French social media influencers, including those influencing the cryptocurrency industry, must obtain certification from the Financial Advertising Responsible Influence Program before advertising financial products.
The Financial Responsible Influence Certificate was created by the Financial Markets Authority (AMF) and the Advertising Professional Regulation Authority (ARPP) to test influencers' compliance with new laws governing social media influencers.
The law, which takes effect on June 1, requires influencers to disclose sponsored content on their pages and prohibits them from promoting inappropriate products and services to their audiences.
To earn the certificate, influencers must score at least 75% on 25 multiple-choice questions that test their understanding of financial product rules. The certificate is only valid for one year, and the KOL must retake the test to renew it. (Cryptoslate)
