British asset management giant Schroders and the Monetary Authority of Singapore are exploring the functionality of a Tokenized Investment Vehicle (TIV), which would enable the packaging and issuance of traditional investment securities. Schroeder is participating in the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Project Guardian program, which aims to test the viability of tokenized assets. Schroders will work with Calastone, a global fund network, to explore the capabilities of Variable Capital Companies (VCC) tokenization vehicles. In August 2022, Schroeder announced the purchase of a minority stake in Forteus, an asset management company specializing in blockchain technology and digital assets, to explore the issuance of digital tokens to investors. In early February 2023, Schroeder participated in the first sterling digital bond issued by the European Investment Bank.
