Odaily Planet Daily News A report released by Sixdegree Lab pointed out that ERC-4337 account abstraction has the potential to become an important pillar for wider user adoption of on-chain games, social networks and other consumer applications. The key points of the report are as follows:
- Since the deployment of ERC-4337 smart contracts, more than 687,000 AA (Account Abstraction) wallets have been created and more than 2 million user operations (UserOps) initiated;
- Most of the growth occurred in July and August, mainly in Layer 2 networks such as Polygon, Optimism and Arbitrum, while CyberConnect and ZTX attracted the most new users and on-chain activity;
- However, 88.24% of AA wallets are used less than or equal to 5 times, most of which are transferring or mint NFT;
- There are 15,000 Bundlers that package and process user operations, and Pimlico has the largest market share;
- Alchemy has the highest revenue, about US$20,000. However, 97.18% of bundle transactions only contain 1 UserOp, which also means that 90% of Bundlers are unprofitable;
- There are 117 Paymasters who pay gas fees on behalf of users, and they have paid a total of US$465,000 in gas fees, of which Pimlico accounted for 43.45% and made the largest contribution;
- 62.63% of accounts deployed Wallet Factory through ZeroDev;
- The most commonly used AA wallet construction method is LEGO, which uses different third parties such as Bundler, Paymaster and Wallet Factory.
The report concluded that it is expected that more and more applications will adopt ERC-4337, which will promote significant progress in the Ethereum account system.
