According to CoinDesk, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will decide this week whether to approve or reject six spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) listing applications, applicants include BlackRock, Bitwise, Fidelity, WisdomTree, VanEck, Invesco Galaxy. Additionally, the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF was filed on the Federal Register on May 15, and Valkyrie’s spot Bitcoin ETF has yet to appear on the Federal Register, but the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accepted their application on Monday. The US SEC released documents seeking public consultation on the Bitcoin ETF last week, and the review process will not officially begin until the filing documents are published on the register. Initially, this period was set at 45 days, but could be extended to as long as 240 days.
