SBF lawyers proposed that financial expert Joseph Pimbley testify about the financial status of FTX and Alameda.
The defense said in court documents filed on Monday that Pimbley will respond to testimony from former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison and developer Adam Yedidia, former FTX chief technology officer Gary Wang and engineering chief Nishad Singh.
Pimbley will confirm his view based on data extracted from the FTX database: 1. Alameda Research's credit line usage fluctuated between approximately $1 billion and $3 billion between October 2021 and September 2022, with significant reductions Part of June 2022; 2. Most of the balances of non-Alameda and non-FTX users (that is, accounts excluding Alameda accounts and FTX own accounts) are concentrated in four tokens (USD, BTC, ETH and USDT). Across the hundreds of tokens defined in the FTX database, over 75% of non-Alameda, non-FTX balances come from accounts that enable spot margin, enable spot margin lending, or show futures activity.
Although Pimbley is the only proposed expert witness, that does not mean he is the only witness who can testify in SBF's defense. Other witnesses may testify if they have a direct relationship or connection with FTX. (CoinDesk)
