A report released by CoinGecko shows that according to data as of November 1, 2023, ranked by BTC holdings, the top 14 listed Bitcoin mining companies hold a total of 38,903 Bitcoins, accounting for 0.18% of the BTC supply. Much lower than MicroStrategy’s 152,333 BTC holdings.
Currently, the top 14 Bitcoin mining companies hold a total of 38,903 Bitcoins. However, this represents only 0.18% of the maximum supply of Bitcoin (21 million), which is far less than MicroStrategy’s holdings of 152,333 Bitcoins.
Marathon Digital, Hut 8 Mining Corp and Riot Platforms are the three largest listed Bitcoin miners with the largest number of Bitcoins. These three companies hold a total of 30,401 BTC, accounting for 78% of the total BTC holdings of leading miners.
The top three Bitcoin mining companies each hold more than 3,000 Bitcoins. In comparison, the remaining 11 companies hold less than 3,000 BTC each, for a total of 8,502 BTC.
