Nasdaq has submitted an application to the U.S. SEC for BlackRock’s proposed spot Ethereum ETF “iShares Ethereum Trust,” which would use Coinbase Custody Trust Company as the custodian and use the CME CF Ether-Dollar reference rate.
In addition, other asset management companies such as Grayscale, Ark Invest, ProShares and Valkyrie have also submitted spot Ethereum ETF applications. It’s worth mentioning that any approval could take months, and the SEC has delayed existing applications for a proposed Bitcoin spot ETF multiple times. (The Block)
