According to Foresight News, four senior judges in the UK have released artificial intelligence (AI) judicial guidelines, aimed at instructing judicial institutions on how to responsibly use AI in courts and courtrooms. The guidelines suggest that the potential useful instances of AI are mainly in administrative tasks, such as summarizing texts, drafting presentations, and writing emails. Judges are cautioned to be vigilant against false information generated by AI searches and summaries and to treat cautiously any false information produced by AI in their name. The use of AI for legal research and analysis is particularly not recommended.
