Internet celebrity Logan Paul makes a “personal commitment” to invest $2.3 million to repurchase CryptoZoo NFTs

Internet celebrity Logan Paul issued a statement on X today, detailing the buyback plan for participants in the CryptoZoo NFT project and filing a new lawsuit against the two co-creators. He wrote that he planned to personally invest more than $2.3 million to buy back Base Eggs and Base Animals NFTs from "everyone who plans to play" the CryptoZoo game (even though the game never materialized). He noted that NFT holders can submit claims online until February 8. CryptoZoo debuted in 2021 with plans to launch an animal NFT-based game. Paul promoted the project extensively on YouTube and podcasts at the time, helping to raise millions of dollars for the project. Later, YouTube blogger Stephen “Coffeezilla” Findeisen questioned the project as a scam, saying that Paul had not paid the developers.
