Multiple agencies in South Korea are participating in the investigation of the Orbit Bridge security incident

South Korea's National Intelligence Service said it is cooperating with other parties to investigate the reasons for the theft of Orbit Bridge and the attackers. According to Article 48, Section 3 (Report of Infringement Incidents, etc.) of Korea’s Information and Communications Network Act, information and communications service providers must immediately report infringement incidents to the Ministry of Science and Information and Communications Technology or the Korean Internet and Security Agency. Therefore, in the early stages of the Orbit Bridge cryptocurrency theft incident, the Korea Internet Agency and the National Police Agency analyzed the cause of the incident. South Korea's National Intelligence Service later joined the investigation because analysis showed that the North Korean hacker group Lazarus was likely to be the culprit of the attack. (news1)
