The Aave community is conducting an on-chain vote on the "Aave V1 deprecation" proposal

The Aave governance website shows that the Aave community is conducting an on-chain vote on the "Aave V1 deprecation" proposal. This proposal seeks to approve next steps for the Aave v1 rollout to reduce operational overhead for deprecated Aave instances. Therefore, the proposal recommends upgrading the pool logic to allow the closing of healthy positions with a fixed bonus of 1%, among other measures. The proposal states that Aave Protocol V1 was released in January 2020 and was eventually replaced by Aave Protocol V2 in December of the same year. While Aave V1 has been deprecated for a long time, there is still some liquidity on Protocol 1. Even if the instance is not included in the Aave security module, as part of Aave it is still monitored and evaluated when development and/or security decisions are made.
