According to PANews, Artela recently announced the development of EVM++ and a comprehensive upgrade to its execution layer. EVM++ represents high extensibility and high performance, aiming to maintain high scalability while introducing parallel EVM to achieve expansion features.
Previously, Artela spent a year building a highly scalable EVM+ public chain by introducing the WASM virtual machine. The parallel EVM of Artela has three features: Parallel Execution, Elastic Computing (high performance), and Elastic Block Space (low cost).
The team behind Artela is based in China, with founder and CEO Jerry Li having previously worked at Ant Chain, Mobike, and Apple China. Other co-founders have backgrounds in major companies such as Ant Group and Tencent.
In terms of financing, Artela completed a Seed round of $615,000 in July 2023, led by Shima Capital, with participation from A&T Capital, Big Brain Holdings, SevenX Ventures, Dispersion Capital, and Amino Capital.
In other news, Sei announced the development of a parallel stack on March 13, aiming to promote parallel EVM as a general framework for modular blockchains, similar to what Op Stack was doing. Meanwhile, Monad launched the Devnet internal test network on March 14 and achieved 10,000 real TPS on EVM.
