Polyhedra Network launches a completely trustless cross-chain protocol for Bitcoin tokens based on zkBridge technology

Polyhedra Network announced that its zkBridge technology has enabled trustless cross-chain token exchange between Bitcoin and smart contract-enabled blockchains such as Ethereum. The protocol utilizes zero-knowledge proofs to allow users to securely trade Bitcoin across major blockchains. The core mechanism involves service providers providing liquidity on Bitcoin and depositing collateral tokens on other blockchains such as Ethereum. The user's transaction funds will be stored in the smart contract, and only after the lending behavior on Bitcoin is verified through zkBridge, the service provider can receive the user funds. This protocol ensures the security and integrity of transactions. In addition, Polyhedra Network has released the Bitcoin Active Verification Service (AVS) and a technical solution to directly verify ZK proofs on the Bitcoin network to enhance secure universal messaging between Bitcoin and other blockchains. These technologies not only enhance the application of Bitcoin in DeFi, but also provide new directions for the growth of the blockchain economy.
