Bitcoin has become a popular payment method in three Brazilian tourist cities

In Brazil, Bitcoin Lightning Network payments have become a popular method of daily payment in the tourist cities of Jericoacoara, São Tomé das Letras and Rollante. These three cities are located in the north, center and south of Brazil respectively, and the use of Bitcoin is promoted by local non-profit projects. São Tomé das Letras is one of the main tourist cities in Minas Gerais state, a city with only 8,000 residents. The local Bitcoin project Mountain aims to spread knowledge about Bitcoin to the city's residents (mainly businessmen and students). Dozens of local businesses are posted with "We accept Bitcoin" stickers, supporting payments through the Lightning Network using Satoshi and Blink Wallet. The city of Jericoacoara, located in northeastern Brazil, is known as the Bitcoin Beach, and the integration with the Lightning Network is the basis for the adoption of Bitcoin in the region, where several businesses now accept Bitcoin payments.
